Emergency supplies are more useful when they are planned as part of the homestead system instead of collected randomly. This KFarm visual focuses on water and feed storage, supply calculations and a quick emergency setup.

Know what must continue

List the daily essentials that cannot simply stop during a disruption. Water and animal feed belong at the center of that calculation.

Store for access

Reserve supplies should be organized so they can actually be reached and used when normal routines are interrupted.

Make the reserve measurable

Use a simple inventory and calculation process rather than relying on memory. That turns emergency storage into a maintainable system.

Tools for This Plan

Water storage container. Choose a container intended for water storage and a size you can safely lift. Label and maintain the reserve according to current water-storage guidance, and make the refill date visible.

Sealable feed container. Size the container for the feed you actually buy, keep its label and lot information, and rotate older stock first. Plastic storage is not a substitute for controlling rodent access to the storage area.
